Have you heard about
London Bridge attack?
I
was checking twitter timeline (Yes, I am twitter person since I found
that it is such an informative social media) when I read the news and gosh, did
my heart not shattered into pieces reading it. The tragedy took place in London
Bridge when these coward terrorist struck pedestrians with their truck and
continuing to look out for people at nearest bar and stabbed them. Currently
there are 7 deaths and more than 40 are injured you can read it here.
It
isn't just London of course, there are Afghanistan and other places as well and
also in Indonesia where the military is tightened the border security as some
terrorists are escaping from Marawi, Philippines.
These
attacks (especially those done in the name of a religion) left me speechless. I
tried my best to understand and correlate it but lost. I mean, how is it that
you killed human, -Allah's creature just like you- spread terror and hatred (even worse one could consider since they did it during Ramadhan the holy month) and
thinking that you are doing it in the name of Allah? See, it is true that in
the past muslims are having war within the non-believers but hellooo, didn't
you guys read books? It is a dignified war where both parties were known that
they are indeed been in a war, so they've occupied themselves well. They are not
pedestrians walking through to well, visiting their families in the hospital
perhaps? There is a hospital near to the bridge just so you know. And no, I not
buying it. These attackers self-proclaiming themselves as jihadis or whatsoever
they called themselves are never a hero. They are cowards, that's all.
My pray goes to
Londoners, especially the victims and their family and I hope that they do
still find that it is love we should always spread even in the darkest time.
Be safe, Londoners! |
But
anyway, it's the D-10 of Ramadhan! Days in Ramadhan are surely flies because it
does feels like it is only 2 or 3 days ago that I am having my first Sahur back at
home. Ramadhan is always such a wonderful time for me, as it is the time when
pahala is given to us even for sleeping and every good deeds reward are
multiplied! and who doesn't loveeee that? Ramadhan is also the chance I
use to reflecting on myself and my ibadah the whole year (certainly there is
always mistake and wrongdoings and whatnot) so I could get better in the future.
So here’s (some of) my
list of this Ramadhan targets :
- Read 30 juzz of alqur’an within Ramadhan
- Read the translation of qur’an
- Taraweh in the mosque for at least 20 days (there are around 7 days or so of not fasting hehe)
- Tahajud and Dhuha for also at least 20 days
- I’tiqaf within the last 10 days of ramadhan
Also other targets during
ramadhan :
- No Ghibah
- Reduce social media time
- Eating only enough during iftar and sahur
- Reading two books within the month (I haven’t finish reading any books within months hahaha)
Well, what’s yours? Do
share! Will be glad to know :3
Happy Ramadhan!
